Although I have devoted the last 11 years of my life to teaching food safety and implementing its tenets, I remain a humble pupil and constantly find myself learning from my students. My commitment to a safer and more effective food service industry is deeply rooted in my passion for education and unwavering belief in our potential as industry members and human beings. Our food service family embodies the spirit and composition of America. We often hail from different lands, adhere to distinct cultures, and have diverse points of view, but we nevertheless work side-by-side to process, cook, and handle all that encompasses food. Because of the diversity in both our industry and country, it is essential that we learn the same principles and follow uniform guidelines to maintain the integrity and safety of the food we serve. We are arguably in charge of the most crucial job in our society.
